Most med spas pay between $8 and $25 per lead on Facebook and Instagram, and need at least $1,500 a month in ad spend to see steady bookings. What you pay depends mostly on which treatment you advertise and how fast you call leads back.
Here is what the numbers look like, and how to tell if yours are good.
Cost per lead by treatment
Industry benchmarks compiled by Web Tonic put 2026 med spa lead costs on Meta at:
| Treatment | Typical cost per lead |
|---|---|
| Facials and chemical peels | $6 to $15 |
| Botox and fillers | $8 to $18 |
| Laser hair removal | $10 to $22 |
| Body contouring | $15 to $35 |
Cheaper treatments get cheaper leads. That does not make them the best thing to advertise. A $12 facial lead that never comes back is worth less than a $30 body contouring lead who buys a package.
A lead is not a booking
The number that matters is cost per booked appointment. The same benchmarks show 25% to 40% of Meta leads turn into bookings when the spa follows up well.
A simple example with $2,000 a month in ad spend:
- At $25 per lead, you get 80 leads.
- If 25% book, that is 20 appointments.
- Your cost per booked appointment is $100.
That lines up with the $80 to $220 that med spas typically pay to acquire a new injectables patient. If a new Botox patient returns three or four times a year, $100 to get them in the door is a good trade.
How much should a med spa spend?
For a single location, $1,500 to $3,000 a month is the realistic minimum. Below that, Meta does not get enough data to find the right people, and results swing week to week.
A sensible split is about two thirds of the budget on reaching new people and one third on retargeting people who already visited your site or Instagram.
Expect costs to rise in November and December. Every retailer in the country is buying ads for the holidays, and ad prices typically climb 25% to 40%. Plan your budget for that, or build your audience now while it is cheaper.
What makes med spa ads cheaper
Use video. Short videos of 15 to 30 seconds get noticeably more clicks than still images. A real provider explaining a treatment, filmed in your space, beats stock footage.
Keep the offer modest. Intro offers in the $50 to $100 off range tend to do better than deep discounts. Big discounts attract people who only come for the deal.
Call leads back in five minutes. Spas that respond within five minutes book about three times as many leads. If leads sit in an inbox until the end of the day, no ad will save you.
Follow Meta's rules. Meta restricts before-and-after images and anything that implies a negative self-image. Ads that break these rules get rejected, and repeat rejections can limit your account.
Is it worth it?
If you can answer leads quickly and your average patient is worth several hundred dollars a year, yes. If nobody at the front desk has time to call leads back, fix that first.
